"We know there are many different roads to success, whether that is college, the workplace, trade school or the military."
That's the message from Jim Weaver, director of career and technical education for Madison-Oneida BOCES in upstate New York.
The agency recently celebrated 49 graduating seniors from eight area high schools who were awarded more than $10,000 in scholarships, and it also recognized 20 seniors who had been offered employment after graduation at local businesses and agencies where they'd completed their senior year CTE program.
The students represent eight high schools and eight CTE programs.
"Our CTE programs prepare students with academic, technical, job and life skills to be successful in any path they choosewhether that is college, the workplace, trade school or the military," Weaver says in a press release.
